This module will cover the design and use of special purpose diodes.

Objectives

By the end of this module you will be able to:

1. Identify types and symbols of varactors.
2. Describe basic characteristics of varactors.
3. Define a light emitter of a photodector.
4. Identify symbols for the photoresistor, photovoltaic cells, photo diode, and LED.
5. Describe some applications for the optoelectrical devices.
6. Identify some of the symbols for varactor.
7. Describe the principles of how a varactor works.
8. List some of the uses for the varactor.
